Will conduct self with a team-orientation, professionalism, and demonstrate appropriate decision-making abilities based on evidenced based practice. Demonstrates sound clinical judgment in their area of clinical practice.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration or Business required. Advanced certification in field of specialty encouraged. A minimum of five years nursing experience, which include 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years in management. Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas Current BLS Membership in professional nursing organizations encouraged.

Program of Nurse Anesthesia (GPNA)
Texas Wesleyan University, founded in 1890 in Fort Worth, is a United Methodist institution
with a tradition of integrating the liberal arts and sciences with professional and career
preparation at the undergraduate level and in selected graduate areas. Total enrollment is about
3,200 students. The University is currently seeking applicants for an
Assistant Director/position.
The
(GPNA)
administer the programs and to assume responsibility of the programs when the Director is not
available. Additional duties include delivering didactic training to first-year nurse anesthesia
students and CRNAs enrolled in the Master of Health Science program; serving in an
administrative and instructor role in the Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP)
program on an as-needed basis; participating in the development and implementation of the entry
level doctoral program; providing instruction to students in the laboratory on an as needed basis;
and, participating in all department, various schools, and University-wide tasks and activities.
The qualified applicant must be a CRNA who possesses a doctoral degree or a master’s prepared
CRNA currently enrolled in doctoral education with a projected graduation date of no later than
2015; have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a practicing CRNA with current
NBCRNA Recertification and appropriate state RN licensure; and, a current active CRNA
practice and an active member of the AANA (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists).
Educational and teaching experience (didactic or clinical) is preferred.
